Overview of TPRI

What is TPRI's mission?

To promote and perform research that seeks to improve the physical, psychological and spiritual condition of mankind.

What is The Polycarp Research Institute (TPRI)?

The Polycarp Research Institute is a non-profit organization (501 C3) dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of high-quality research designed to enhance the physical, psychological and spiritual condition of mankind. TPRI will help researchers with projects that are designed to reveal the truths contained within Nature's laws. TPRI will support research efforts that improve the spiritual condition of men and women, and will not promote methods or intentions that are inconsistent with the ethical and moral guidelines of the Catholic Church; however, not all of the research that TPRI supports will necessarily contain a moral dimension (eg, research to find the cure to cancer, to treat ectopic pregnancy etc). It is anticipated that TPRI will serve as a resource center and not solely as a facility that performs research.

What will TPRI do?

Although TPRI was only recently incorporated, we anticipate or are already involved in the following projects:

  • The publication of The TPRI Report. This will give updates of what research the TPRI is currently involved in as well as reporting advances in other areas of research.

  • Assistance of funding of researchers who participate in projects consistent with the philosophy of TPRI. This capacity depends on TPRI's financial condition.

  • Assistance with technical help with research efforts. TPRI will develop a base of doctors, clinical researchers, pharmacists, epidemiologists, businessmen, clergy, and others who have clinical expertise in specific fields and who are interested in research. This conglomeration of highly qualified personnel would serve as a TPRI consult team, which would give advice or be directly involved in ongoing research.

  • Develop a web page that serves as an education tool to display new research findings as well as current of TPRI. This can be viewed at www.polycarp.org. People can already look up valuable information on abortion and breast cancer, the pill and breast cancer and the postfertilization effect of emergency contraception.

  • Develop a television or radio show(s) whose purpose would be consistent with that of TPRI and which would discuss new developments in research.

Anticipated Projects

  • Assistance with a five to ten year prospective study on natural family planning and its correlation to divorce rate.

  • Promotion of a study to discover a way of treating ectopic pregnancy in order to save the life of the baby. (There is no known method of doing this today). We will explore the possibility of a grafting procedure in monkeys, wherein the proximal end of the fallopian tube which contains the fetal monkey is surgically anastomosed (grafted) into the endometrium.

  • Assistance for finding a treatment for sleep apnea via a sleep-repositioning process that depends upon a patient's current oxygenation saturation.

  • The continued study of the ABBC link, that is the Abortion, Birth Control Pill, Breast Cancer link. TPRI will support an ongoing meta-analysis of the Pill and Breast Cancer.

  • Assistance with a cure for cancer based upon total body hyperthermia.
